The police on Saturday formally arrested Rinku alias Monica and her paramour Satish for murdering 28-year-old Vimal Kumar, a resident of Pinjore, whose partially decomposed body was recovered from near Morni T-point on Thursday.
Vimal and Rinku had got married around three months ago.
Sequence of events
On November 4, Vimal left his house in Pinjore to meet Rinku. She had called him and was staying at her parents’ house in Rampur Seudi village. Rinku’s parents were not at home at that time.
The couple went for a stroll up to the Nada Sahib area. On the way, Rinku’s lover Satish met them. He then joined them.
Satish offered Vimal to have liquor. After consuming liquor, Satish attacked him with stones on head, and he fell unconscious. Then with the help of a knife, Satish slit Vimal’s throat, and dumped the body in bushes near Morni T-point. Rinku returned to her parental house.
How police cracked the case?
The police focused on the details of call records and figured out that Rinku was with Vimal. The case was cracked during rigorous interrogation of Rinku where she crumbled and confessed about the crime. Following that Satish was also arrested.
“The stones, murder weapon and dagger have been recovered. Two stones had blood stains and hair clogged up with it. Rinku and Satish will be produced before the court on Sunday,” said inspector Lalit Kumar, station house officer (SHO) of the Pinjore police station.
Third marriage for accused, second for victim
Vimal’s first marriage failed. He had got married to Rinku in August this year.
This was Rinku’s third marriage. But she already had an affair with Satish, who worked as a driver.
Vimal worked as a sweeper in Chandimandir cantonment.
