Mukerian naib tehsildar suspended on graft charges

Punjab revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Wednesday issued orders to suspend Mukerian naib tehsildar Sohan Lal on charges of corruption with immediate effect.

Punjab revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Wednesday issued orders to suspend Mukerian naib tehsildar Sohan Lal on charges of corruption with immediate effect.

The minister also directed the authorities concerned to initiate a vigilance probe against Lal and submit the report within a month.

The minister issued the directions following a complaint against Lal during his tenure as naib tehsildar.
