The district administration has decide to take a pledge of national unity on Friday to mark the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Divas’ at the Mini Secretariat.

The central government recently decided to observe the day to mark Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel’s birth anniversary, which falls on October 31.
At the meet, Panchkula deputy commissioner SS Phulia, who chaired the meeting, said that he would head a march for unity at Yavnika, Sector 5, Panchkula, at 9.30 am on October 31.
Panchkula MLA Gian Chand Gupta will also be the part of a pledge ceremony that will be organised at Government College, Sector 1, Panchkula.
At 11 am, another pledge ceremony will be held at the Government Girls College, Sector 14, which will be administered by Panchkula additional deputy commissioner SP Arora. A pledge ceremony will also be organised at Government College, Kalka, at which a pledge will be administered by Kalka MLA Latika Sharma.
Swachh Bharat campaign to be launched on November 1
Panchkula administration has decided to begin its Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign on November 1 to mark Haryana Day. The drive, which will concluded on November 7, will be launched by Gian Chand Gupta at 11 am from Industrial Area, Phase-I, Panchkula.
Similarly, Latika Sharma will also launch the Swachh Bharat campaign for Kalka from Khatik Mohall Colony, Kalka, at Pinjore
