PM Modi will attend Khattar’s swearing-in
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending Haryana chief minister-designate Manohar Lal Khattar’s oath-taking ceremony here on Sunday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend Haryana chief minister-designate Manohar Lal Khattar’s oath-taking ceremony on Sunday. At least 3,000 police personnel will be deployed to the 13-acre ground in Sector 5 along with 30-35 IPS officers for the ceremony.

“The swearing-in function is going to take place on October 26 at 11 am. The PM, party president Amit Shah, myself and other ministerial colleagues are attending this ceremony,” urban development and parliamentary affairs minister M Venkaiah Naidu said.
Haryana was under the Congress rule for the last 10 years. In the recently-concluded election, he BJP won 47 seats in the 90-member assembly.
“Elaborate arrangements are being made as PM Modi and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states are also expected to come,” said Anil Vij, Ambala MLA. Apart from the VIPs, close to 50,000 people are expected to attend the swearing-in.
