Pulse polio campaign from Sep 21 to 23

A pulse polio campaign will be conducted in the district from September 21 to 23 to ensure 100% immunisation of children in the age group of 0 to 5 years.
While presiding over a meeting with various task force teams from the health department on Tuesday, additional deputy commissioner Poonamdeep said the department should seek assistance from panchayats and social organisations so that 100% immunisation of every newborn child could be ensured.
Addressing the teams, civil surgeon Neelam Bhardwaj said 1,121 task force teams had been formed for ensuring immunistion of 1.37 lakh children in the district and a total of 18 transit booths would be set up.
