Punjab extends date to regularise marriage palaces

The Punjab government has extended the date to get unauthorised marriage palaces regularised to August 14. Giving details, an official spokesperson of the directorate of town and country planning said that earlier the last date was May 15.

He said the applications in this regard should be submitted to the chief administrator, development authorities. He said the marriage palace owners who had been asked to submit the fee/charges or to amend site/layout plan by the department, were now instructed to furnish relevant documents by August 14. He said the applications received after that would not be entertained.
