Rahul Gandhi at Himachal Bhawan

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who visited Sirhind, Mandi Gobindgarh and Khanna in Punjab on Tuesday, reached the city to spend the night at Himachal Bhawan in Sector 28. Party general secretary and Punjab affairs in-charge Shakeel Ahmad and former union minsiter Jyotiraditya Scindia were accompanying him.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who visited Sirhind, Mandi Gobindgarh and Khanna in Punjab on Tuesday, reached the city to spend the night at Himachal Bhawan in Sector 28. Party general secretary and Punjab affairs in-charge Shakeel Ahmad and former union minsiter Jyotiraditya Scindia were accompanying him.

Rahul, who reached Chandigarh at around 10.30 pm, was also accompanied by senior Congress leaders of Punjab, including Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Partap Singh Bajwa, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Sunil Jakhar, former Punjab CM Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, former union minister Ambika Soni and several party MLAs.

According to Congress sources, Rahul is headed for Delhi on Wednesday before he goes to meet farmers in Maharashtra.
