Gurgaon district magistrate PC Meena imposed the law, banning the assembly of five or more persons in the area that where the order has been enforced.

Meena, who is also the Gurgaon deputy commissioner, has also prohibited persons from carrying weapons. Any procession without the administration's permission has also been prohibited.

Those violating the order can be tried under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code, the official said. The police have been given the responsibility of implementing the order.
