Students honoured for working against social evils

Rupnagar: Chetna Nasha Virodhi Lehar of Government College Rupnagar honoured the students who had worked against social evils.

Students Reena Rani, Jaspal Singh, Mohit, Harinder Singh and Satnam Singh were honoured at the event. These students had administered pledge to 600 students of the college against use of intoxicants. Besides, they also administered pledge to about 400 school students.

College principal Sneh Lata Badhwar was the chief guest on the occasion. She lauded the students for their work against social evils particularly against intoxicant abuse.

College vice-principal Savita Sharma, Chetan Nasha Virodhi Lehar convener Piara Singh, deputy convener Manjinder Kaur and Vipan Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
