Thakur was speaking on the eighth day of the budget session. As per information received from the ministry of external affairs (MEA), he said that 149 Himachali students are still in Ukraine or have reached the neighbouring Romania, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, from where evacuation flights are taking off.

“Some students have been able to leave Kharkiv and reach the designated places. The satisfactory thing is that now the return of students from Kharkiv has also started he said,” he said.

“According to the information received from the MEA, many flights have arrived in India from Ukraine in the last 24 hours Operation Ganga and more have been scheduled. A large number of Indians will be brought back in the next two to three days. The increasing number of flights shows that a large number of Indians have left Ukraine and are currently in neighbouring countries,” said the CM.
