Burglary at factory: Ex-employee, security guard booked
A day after 500-kg copper and tin ingots were stolen from a factory in Dhandhari Kalan, which has a police post inside its premises, a security guard and a former employee were booked on Monday. The accused have been identified as Ravi Kumar of Dhandhari Kalan and security guard Sanjit Kumar Yadav. Ravi had left the job a week ago. The FIR has been lodged based on the statement of the factory owner Dhiraj Kumar Garg, who stated that he has incurred a loss of ₹7 lakh due to the theft and had suspected the role of an insider. ASI Randhir Singh, in-charge at Dhandhari Kalan police post, said they found during investigation that Yadav had not come for work on Sunday and wasn’t at home either. While scanning CCTVs, police found that Ravi was also involved. A case has been registered under Sections 457 and 381 of IPC and a hunt is on for the arrest of the accused. The burglars had barged in the factory after scaling the compound wall, which is not covered under CCTVs, on intervening night Saturday and Sunday. They had broken the lock of the store and decamped with the metal.
