Three swine flu cases have been detected in Yamunanagar on Tuesday and two in Ambala, prompting health authorities to strengthen preparedness and preventive measures to control the spread of the infection.

In Yamunanagar, the flu cases were detected at hospitals situated at the outskirts of the district, where the local patients have been undergoing treatment. The cases include two women aged 31 and 65, both undergoing treatment, while a 64-year-old man is under home isolation and is stable.

Ambala district epidemiologist Dr. Sunil Hari said that two cases were reported in the district including a four-year-old girl undergoing treatment at PGIMER Chandigarh, while a 50-year-old man is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ambala.
