Jagraon ADC reviews Aadhaar enrolment in Ludhiana

Jagraon additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Daljit Kaur on Thursday reviewed the progress of Aadhaar enrolment in the district and stressed on the need to expedite enrolment in 0-5 years and 5-18 years age group.

The ADC, while presiding over a meeting with the heads of education, panchayat and rural development, postal, food and civil supplies and other departments, asked the officials to speed up the Aadhaar enrolment in the district. She said special camps should be organised in villages, schools, and anganwari centres (AWCs) so that population below 18 years could be covered expeditiously. She said a total of 223 Aadhaar kits were available in the district, besides, 26 post offices and 40 sewa kendras were operational where people could enrol themselves for the card.

Meanwhile, Kaur also instructed the officials, who were attending the meeting, to plan the camps in a way that people could get their Aadhaar cards made easily. She also emphasised proper awareness about camps to ensure larger section of population avails its benefit.
