Deputy commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal has issued a WhatsApp helpline number to ensure smooth supply of gas cylinders as well as to keep a check on black marketing.

“Through this helpline number, members of the public can share information via WhatsApp message if any case of black marketing of gas cylinders comes to their notice,” he said.

He added that the necessary staff is being deployed for this purpose, which will ensure that complaints and information received are immediately forwarded for prompt action to the committee constituted under the supervision of the additional deputy commissioner (general).

He said that in view of the current situation, the district administration is closely monitoring the entire scenario.

Besides, teams of the district administration are conducting checks at gas agencies and their godowns to ensure smooth supply and distribution of domestic gas cylinders.
