Jalandhar man murdered in front of his mother over old enmity
The police said on the complaint of Jasdeep’s mother Mohinder Kaur, a case has been registered against Chandan Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Saajan Ghai, Jaskar Singh and Sahil, all from Patti Bagga village, under sections of 302 (murder), 148 (rioting) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC Act.
A 30-year-old man was murdered in front of his mother in Jalandhar’s Patti Bagga village on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Jasdeep Singh, who was attacked by five persons of the same village over an old enmity.

The police said on the complaint of Jasdeep’s mother Mohinder Kaur, a case has been registered against Chandan Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Saajan Ghai, Jaskar Singh and Sahil, all from Patti Bagga village, under sections of 302 (murder), 148 (rioting) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC Act.
The accused came to her house and asked for her son Jasdeep, said the police. “They threatened to kill her son after he had an altercation with them over some issue. The accused cornered her son near the village cremation ground and attacked him,” the complainant said.
She rushed her injured son to a hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. The accused managed to flee the spot and police teams were constituted to nab them.
