Light & sound shows to mark martyrdom anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur

The shows, featuring modern laser lights and 3D projection technology, depicted the life, philosophy, teachings, and supreme sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur.

The Punjab government on Tuesday organised light and sound shows across Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala and Pathankot as part of a series of events to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh master Guru Teg Bahadur.

The shows, featuring modern laser lights and 3D projection technology, depicted the life, philosophy, teachings, and supreme sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur.

The events witnessed a large turnout of devotees along with the participation of cabinet ministers, MLAs, and local dignitaries.

A government spokesperson said tourism and cultural affairs minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond attended the show at the sports stadium in Madhopur, Fatehgarh Sahib, while defence services welfare, freedom fighters and horticulture minister Mohinder Bhagat and adviser to the department of tourism and cultural affairs Deepak Bali were present at the Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in Jalandhar.

At Pathankot’s Lamini Stadium, food and civil supplies minister Lal Chand Kataruchakk participated in the event and health and family welfare minister Dr Balbir Singh attended the show held at Polo Ground, Patiala.

The spokesperson added that similar light and sound shows are being organised across all 23 districts of Punjab and will continue till November 20.
