The deceased had been living separately from her husband and children. Her family suspects foul play. Agitated relatives raised slogans against the police, claiming that despite repeated complaints, no concrete action had been taken.

Her brother has alleged that a male acquaintance who frequently visited her could be involved in the alleged murder. He said the family had urged police to investigate the individual, but their concerns were ignored.

Station house officer Pramod Bhatti said a compromise had been reached between the family and the person under suspicion. He added that proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita have been initiated.
