A man jumped from a moving three-wheeler after the driver of the vehicle and his two aides assaulted him with a sharp-edged weapon.

The man, along with his friend, hired the three-wheeler to reach home on Saturday night. The accused robbed his friend of ₹1,000 in cash and a mobile phone.
The Sadar police have identified the accused as Ashwani Kumar of Mohalla Nanaksar, Mani Kumar of New Shimlapuri and Karan Kumar of Mohalla Nanaksar, and lodged an FIR against them.
The FIR has been lodged following the statement of Priya Batra Naik, 28, of Block A of Bhai Himmat Singh Nagar of Dugri.
According to the complaint, he, along with his friend Suvakant Patra, hired a three-wheeler to reach home on Saturday night.
Two men posing as passengers were already sitting in the three-wheeler besides the driver. When they reached near Ishar Nagar Canal Bridge, the driver drove the vehicle to an isolated place.
The complainant added that the accused assaulted his friend Suvakant Patra with a sharp-edged weapon to rob him. His friend jumped off from the moving vehicle.
Further the complainant added that the accused overpowered him and robbed him of ₹1,000 in cash and his mobile phone.
ASI Mewa Singh, who is investigating the case, said the police have identified the accused. An FIR under sections 379-B and 34 of IPC has been lodged against the accused at the Sadar police station.
