Ludhiana: Man stabbed to death, wife, teenage son held
Police had initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of CrPC, but after the autopsy report revealed that the victim has at least 10 injuries inflicted by sharp weapon, a murder case was lodged
A woman and her 18-year-old son have been arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband to death.

The accused have been identified as Satnam Kaur, 48, of Sahnewal and her son Karan, 18.
The victim has been identified as Kulwinder Singh, 49, of Sahnewal. Police said that he was a labourer and would often beat his wife and son.
The woman-son duo allegedly stabbed him on Sunday and then rushed him to the hospital stating that he had suffered an injury and suddenly collapsed. Kulwinder succumbed to injuries during treatment.

Inspector Pawan Kumar, SHO at Sahnewal police station, said that Satnam and her son had tried to mislead the police stating that Kulwinder Singh had suffered some physical problem. But, during questioning, they confessed to the crime.
“The woman said that Kulwinder used to get drunk and would often beat her. On Sunday, he asked her for money to buy liquor and when she refused, he started beating her. She then stabbed him with a kitchen knife with her son’s help,” the SHO added.
