Ludhiana: MC demolishes 8 illegal under-construction shops

The civic body officials appealed to residents to start construction work only after getting the building plans approved by the civic body; strict action will be taken against illegal constructions

Continuing stern action against illegal constructions, the municipal corporation (MC) demolished eight illegal under-construction shops on Reru Sahib road falling under Zone C of the civic body.

The building branch officials stated that the shops were being constructed in violation of the building bylaws. As the owner failed to stop the illegal construction, the civic body razed the under-construction buildings on Thursday.

Following the directions of MC commissioner Neeru Katyal Gupta, drives against illegal constructions are being conducted regularly.
