A student of Spring Bell Public School, Tavish had earlier secured AIR 493 in JEE Main 2026. He scored 98% in Class X and 96.2% in Class XII (non-medical).

Tavish said he focused on building conceptual clarity and regularly took mock tests to assess his preparation and identify areas that required improvement.

He now plans to pursue electrical engineering or Robotics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.

Tavish credited his parents, teachers and mentors for their support during his preparation. His father, Dr Neeraj Goyal, is associated with NG Hospital, while his mother works as an administrator.

Varnaj Kaur also figured among the top performers from the city, securing AIR 1017 in the examination.
