Soon after taking office at the MC Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar, Gupta held a courtesy meeting with mayor Inderjit Kaur, followed by a review of officials from various branches of the civic body. She was welcomed by senior civic officials, including joint commissioners Vineet Kumar and Abhishek Sharma, and assistant commissioners Neeraj Jain, Gurpal Singh and Jasdev Sekhon, among others. A contingent of the Punjab Police accorded her a guard of honour.
Drawing on her strong administrative background, Dr Gupta said expediting development works and ensuring efficient, hassle-free public services would remain among her key priorities. On being asked about pressing issues such as damaged roads, deficient civic amenities and departmental challenges, she stated that all concerns would be streamlined and addressed on a priority basis.
Dr Gupta also appealed to residents to cooperate with authorities in maintaining a clean and green city.
