BJP failed to keep city clean for 15 years: Sisodia
At Harkesh Nagar, he asked people to visit and take selfies with the Okhla landfill site one last time as the garbage mound will be flattened once AAP comes to power in the municipality
The Aam Admi Party on Wednesday initiated its campaign of undertaking 1000 corner meetings under jansamwad campaign in run up to civic elections on December 4 with the Deputy CM Manish Sisodia leading the campaign in nine municipal wards in the areas of Kalkaji, Sangam Vihar and Tughlakabad where he urged the voters to vote for AAP councillors. “

“AAP councilors will work for the public interest and focus on cleanliness and sanitation issues in the area whereas if a BJP councilor is elected then he will only focus on stopping the development works. Upon election, BJP councilors’ main agenda would be to only fight with Arvind Kejriwal,” Sisodia said.
Sisodia said that in the past 15 years BJP has converted Delhi into a dumpyard. “Cleanliness in Delhi was the core responsibility of MCD but they failed terribly in managing it. Instead, they gave the capital three mountains of garbage. Along with this corruption and extortion increased rampantly during their reign. The condition of MCD schools and hospitals deteriorated in the past 15 years. Due to this public is frustrated and is now questioning that if Arvind Kejriwal can make government schools and hospitals world-class in just 5 years, provide free electricity, and free pilgrimage to the elderly then why didn’t BJP do anything in the past 15 years in MCD? But the BJP does not have an answer to this. They are just abusing us,” the deputy CM added.
At Harkesh Nagar, he asked people to visit and take selfies with the Okhla landfill site one last time as the garbage mound will be flattened once AAP comes to power in the municipality. AAP has focused its campaign on the issues around sanitation and landfill sites. AAP has also launched 35 mini-vans with replicas of landfills which are being paraded across the city.
Sisodia once again reiterated that BJP led MCD plans to set up 16 more landfills across the capital-- a charge that has been denied by both BJP and MCD. “In 2017, BJP said that it will finish all the mountains of garbage from the capital. These mountains of garbage are actually the towers of failure of the BJP in MCD,” Sisodia said.
AAP’s Star campaigners including Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai, MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj, Durgesh Pathak and Mahabal Mishra held 60 Jamsamvads on Wednesday to interact with Delhiites. AAP leaders and workers will be holding Padyatras, Jansabhas and door-to-door campaigns in various booths in run up to election slated to held on December 4, 2022
Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has said that after what Manish Sisodia has said today it leaves no doubt that during last 8 years Kejriwal Government did not extend any support to MCDs with political bias.
What Sisodia has said means that he is threatening Delhiites that if you do not elect AAP Councilors to power we will not give proper support to even the new MCD putting people to further hardship.
Manish Sisodia should know that people of Delhi very well understand how Kejriwal Government has financially crippled MCD which has hurt betterment of several works including sanitation. Yet MCD leadership of BJP with active support of its sanitation workers have ensured tidy Delhi. Its sad Team Kejriwal always humiliates hard working sanitation workers of MCD.
