Delhi Economic Survey 2025-26: 2 Delhi monuments among India’s top 5 most visited

The Qutub Minar and Red Fort ranked third and fourth in Indian visitor numbers in 2024-25, with 3.204M and 2.884M visitors respectively.

The Qutub Minar and the Red Fort ranked as the third and fourth most-visited centrally-protected monuments by Indian visitors, respectively, in the financial year 2024-2025, according to the Economic Survey Report of Delhi 2025-26.

The Qutub Minar drew 3.204 million domestic tourists, while the Red Fort recorded 2.884 million visitors, the report stated, citing Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) data.

The report further highlighted a surge in Delhi tourism, with domestic visitors to the Capital increasing from 39.415 million in 2023 to 46.257 million in 2024.

Additionally, according to the India Tourism Data Compendium 2025, Delhi’s international airport recorded the highest volume of foreign tourist arrivals, welcoming over 3.224 million visitors and accounting for 38.85% of the country’s total share in the 2024-25 fiscal, followed by Mumbai and Chennai.

Delhi stood 6th for the number of foreign tourist visits in the year, with 1.999 million tourists, making up 9.55% of the total share. Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Gujarat were in the top three positions, respectively.
