The body of a 36-year-old man with multiple stab wounds was found in a forested area of Sanjay Lake near Pandav Nagar in east Delhi on Thursday morning, police said. A case of murder was registered at Pandav Nagar police station, and multiple teams have been formed to identify and nab the assailants and ascertain the motive.

Investigators are probing the case from angles of personal enmity, robbery and other possible motives, police added.
Additional commissioner of police (east) Abhishek Dhania said the Pandav Nagar police station received a call on Thursday morning about a man found in an unconscious state with multiple stab injuries near the toilet area of Sanjay Lake.
A police team reached the spot and rushed the victim to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased was identified as Lukha Choudhary alias Vikram, a resident of Shashi Garden near Pandav Nagar.
Police said preliminary investigation suggests that some people had visited the forested area of the lake to consume liquor. They are probing whether Choudhary was with them on Wednesday night.
