89 new trucks to help DFS speed up rescue operations

75 Delhi Police booths to bridge gap between residents, stations

The city police had planned the inauguration of the booths by Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinai Kumar Saxena on Friday (July 1) to mark the anniversary of commissioner of police system or commissionerate system that was established in Delhi on July 1, 1978.

Parts submerged, waterlogged roads force Delhi traffic to a standstill

Traffic police said mostly it was underpasses that got submerged after heavy rain was recorded on Wednesday morning. Prominent among the underpasses where traffic movement had to be stopped was Pul Prahladpur in south-east Delhi.

70-year-old con man, on the run for 16 years, nabbed in Delhi

In all, there are four cases against Pradeep Paliwal alias Mahesh Gupta, registered in Delhi and Gurugram and also by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) between 2006 and 2018, EOW officers said.

Traffic disrupted in central Delhi again as Cong protests ED quizzing Rahul

Special commissioner of police (law and order) Sagarpreet Hooda said that a total of 217 Congress leaders and cadre, including 15 members of parliament (MPs) were detained for carrying out the protest, despite no permission was granted. All of them were released later in the evening, he said.
