Water supply in parts of Rohini, Rithala and Badli to be hit

Water supply in parts of Rohini, Rithala, and Badli will be suspended for 24 hours starting Tuesday due to repairs on a damaged water line.

New Delhi: Water supply to several areas in Rohini, Rithala, and Badli will remain suspended for 24 hours – from 10am on Tuesday – due to damage to a 700 mm diameter water line emanating from the Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant, Delhi Jal Board (WJB) officials said on Monday.

Officials advised residents to store adequate water in advance. (HT)

The affected areas include Rohini’s sectors 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, Badli Industrial Area Phases 1-3, Suraj Park, Raja Vihar, Prashant Vihar, Sardar Colony, Amar Jyoti Colony, Samypur, Shivpuri, Teacher Colony, and Badli Village, according to DJB.

Officials cited site constraints for the 24-hour repair timeline and advised residents to store adequate water in advance.
