Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University: Several exam centres to be shifted after inspection team finds irregularities
Inspection team finds several irregularities, including inappropriate sitting arrangements, at many examination centres
Lucknow A team of invigilators on Saturday conducted surprise inspections of several examination centres and found numerous irregularities, including in seating arrangements, during the ongoing semester exams of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) and its affiliated colleges. The university has decided to shift several exam centres to ensure fair examinations.
As per the vice-chancellor (V-C), CSJMU, Prof Vinay Kumar Pathak’s commitment towards conducting examinations in a fair and cheating -free environment, pro-V-C Prof Sudhir Kumar Awasthi and director of CDC, RK Dwivedi, conducted surprise inspections across multiple examination centres in the region.
The invigilation team inspected DSN College (Unnao), Bachi Lal Dwivedi Mahavidyalaya(Auraiya), Janata Mahavidyalaya (Ajitmal) Ram Kishore Samarak Mahavidyalaya, (Yaduvanshpur, Ajitmal), Shri Gulab Singh Mahavidyalaya, (Auraiya) and other colleges where centres have been made.
They found several irregularities, including inappropriate sitting arrangements, at many examination centres. The team made a full report about the condition of these examination centres and sent some suggestions to conduct free and fair exams.
Taking cognizance of the report by the inspection team, the controller of examination, Anjani Kumar Mishra, has decided to shift the exam centres of students (male) at Shri Radhe Krishna MD Mahavidyalaya (Kanpur), Brij Lal Verma Memorial College (Kanpur) and girl students’ centre at Shankaranand Mahavidyalaya, Sarsaul, to BND College, Kanpur.
While the exam centres for male students at Ch Suresh Singh Mahavidyalaya (Auriya), Bal Vikas Mahavidhyala (Auriya) and Om Prakesh Chobey Mahavidyala (Auriya) while centres for female students at Ram Kishore Samarak Mahavidyalaya, Ajitmal will be shifted to TD College, Auraiya. The centre relocation will be in effect from March 7 onwards.
