U.P.: MLA Rajeshwar Singh opens swings in 55 govt primary schools

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Rajeshwar Singh unveiled five swings each in 55 government primary schools in his Sarojini Nagar assembly constituency area here on Monday.

“Children go to school to study and enjoy with their friends during breaks. For this, it is necessary that along with good education, they also get better resources to play. It is most precious for their physical and mental health,” he said on the occasion.

The unveiling programme was organised at a primary school located in Alinagar Khurd village in Lucknow. “It is a moment of satisfaction and pride for me. Children are the future of the country. Each day, efforts are being made for their mental and physical development in Sarojini Nagar,” Singh said.

The MLA also adopted three schools and got them renovated. Due to his efforts, gradually swings are also being installed in all the 193 primary schools of the area for 22,000 children. “It is being done with the aim of increasing their interest in quality education and going to school. The idea is to ensure regular attendance of students in school,” he said. “To promote sports and fitness I have started #Sarojini Nagar sports league,” the MLA said.

“Better education system is being ensured by rejuvenating the schools for the mental development of the children. There is a system of sports in the schools for their physical development. Swings are to be installed in every school,” he added.

During the programme, children gave a mesmerising cultural presentation. Rajeshwar Singh felicitated meritorious students of the school. Stationery kits were also distributed to all children.
