Mumbai: The supervisor of a construction site in Malad East has been booked after an iron barricade at the site allegedly fell on a 12-year-old girl, causing serious injuries.

According to the police, Trisha was out for a post-dinner walk with a friend near the Tarmat area in Malad East when the incident occurred around 11 pm on Friday. The barricade, reportedly placed improperly on the roadside, toppled onto the girl, causing injuries to her face and thighs.
“Trisha was rushed to a Radhakrishna Hospital in Malad East. It was found that there were fractures in both thigh joints. She was subsequently advised to consult an orthopaedic specialist for further treatment,” said a police officer.
Based on a complaint by the girl’s sister, Rutika Deepak Mahadik, 26, the Dindoshi police registered a case of negligence against the site supervisor under Section 289 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
