Villagers in Uran, India are protesting against CIDCO's plans to acquire land in the region, stating that 40,000 people will be displaced from their residences and questioning CIDCO's motives. CIDCO has issued a revised notification for land acquisition, offering 22.5% developed land as compensation. The villagers have formed a committee to oppose the notification and plan to submit written objections to CIDCO. Investors, however, see the acquisition as an opportunity to acquire developed land in a prime area.
