CM to gift projects worth over ₹1200 cr to Prayagraj today

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several developmental projects in the Sangam city on Thursday.

He will also address a “Prabudh Jan Sammelan” (meeting of intellectuals) at the Parade ground and review preparations of Magh Mela-2023 and Mahakumbh-2025 during his a little over four-hour visit, informed district officials.

“All preparations for the CM’s visit are complete,” said district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Khatri.

During the visit, the CM will inaugurate a project worth 325.16 crore, while he will lay foundation stone of projects worth 969.57 crore. Arrangements have been made to accommodate 10,000 people in the public meeting to be held at the Parade ground, the officials shared.

Deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak besides urban development minister Arvind Kumar Sharma and industrial development and export promotion minister Nand Gopal Gupta “Nandi” are also expected to attend the programme.

The chief minister’s chopper will land near the Parade ground at around 1.50pm. He will attend the “Prabudh Jan Sammellan” from 2pm to 3pm before meeting the public representatives from 3.30pm to 3.45pm. He will also chair a meeting with officials to review Magh Mela-2023 and Makakumbh-2025 preparations from 4pm to 6pm.

He will leave for Lucknow by chopper at around 6.25pm. The CM can also offer prayers at the Sangam and can also visit Bade Hanuman Mandir during the visit.

During the programme at Parade ground, the CM will hand over certificates and keys of houses to 20 beneficiaries of four different government schemes. Beneficiaries of Rural Housing, Urban Housing, Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojna and One District One Product schemes will get certificates and keys of houses on the occasion.

Apart from gifting projects worth 1294.73 crore, the chief minister could also announce committee of senior officials in the meetings for the preparations for Mahkumbh-2025. For the Kumbh 2019, a committee of high officials was formed.
