“The petition is dismissed,” a bench of justice Madhu Jain said. The case relates to alleged illegal interceptions of NSE employees’ phone calls between 2009 and 2017.
According to the CBI, Ramkrishna, along with former CEO Ravi Narain, executive vice-president Ravi Varanasi and head (premises) Mahesh Haldipur, allegedly engaged iSEC services to intercept NSE employees’ calls under the guise of conducting a periodic study of cyber vulnerabilities at the exchange.
The trial court granted bail to Ramkrishna in December 2022, prompting the CBI to move the High Court.
Earlier, the Delhi High Court had dismissed Ramkrishna’s petition challenging the sanction granted by the board of directors to prosecute her under the Prevention of Corruption Act in connection with the NSE case on July 9. The same was upheld by the Supreme Court on September 16.
