Oppn big-wigs afraid to campaign as they know lotus will bloom in civic polls: Maurya
“As far as development is concerned, Kashi is at par with every other city in the world,” Maurya said
Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday said that no senior leader of the opposition parties, including the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress, is mustering the courage to campaign because they know that the lotus will bloom in the civic elections.

According to a press communique of the Kashi region BJP, while addressing the new voters’ conference organised by BJP youth wing at the party’s regional office in Varanasi, Maurya targeted the opposition and said they do not have any prominent issue to raise during poll campaigns as development is not the priority of the opposition and they do not believe in good governance.
He appealed youths to support the BJP and ensure victory of its candidates.
Maurya said that the party workers must show such strength that all the previous records for the post of mayor are broken, and the parties which are thinking of alliance against us in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, should drown in the pit of despair.
Maurya claimed that in this election, ‘75 pratishat vote hamara hai, 25 me batwara hai aur batware me bhi hamara hai ‘(75 percent vote is ours and there is division in remaining 25 percent. There is our share in this division too.)”
He said that SP, BSP and Congress will stand nowhere on May 13.
Maurya said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a target to the youths on the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav that in 2047, India becomes the most developed country with the largest economy. We have to first decide what our role should be for the coming future, he said.
He added, “The youths of today want development, corruption-free governance and strict law and order and all this can be given only by the Bharatiya Janata Party government.”,
“As far as development is concerned, Kashi is at par with every other city in the world,” Maurya said and added, “The grand and divine Vishwanath Dham, clean and beautiful ghats and serenely flowing Maa Ganga, ring road, airport, state-of-the-art hospital, the longest distance cruise, all are adding to the glory of Kashi.”
He said that millions of people have got employment due to the development of Kashi. Tourists from all over the world are coming to Kashi and are surprised to see the development here.
BJP regional president Dilip Singh Patel said that BJP youth wing workers should meet the first-time voters and apprise them of party’s ideology.
