Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday said that India should prepare to become the “Vishwa Guru” - the teacher or knowledge-giver of the world.

“India would be the centre of world affairs soon and our society should get ready for it,” Bhagwat said while releasing the book “The Legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji: Kingdom to Empire” written by Kedar Phalke.
RSS chief said, “One of the six festivals celebrated by the RSS is Hindu Samrajya Diwas, to commemorate the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It’s not just because RSS was established in Maharashtra and Shivaji Maharaj is from here. But the Maratha warrior is the first ruler who fought the Mughals and awakened the society.”
Bhagwat said the society should study Shivaji Maharaj’s various aspects of being a good ruler, fighter, administrator, leader and friend.
“All his principles are important to present and future generations,” he said.
