PUNE: National Lok Adalat has been organised in all the courts of Pune district on March 12. The court will take up 45,000 pending cases from Pune and 1.75 lakh pre-litigation cases kept for compromise. Arrangements have been made in the National Lok Adalat to pay the amount of compromise and penalty through e-challan. These cases are related to civil and criminal disputes, cheque bounce cases, cases related to motor accidents claim tribunal, pending power and water cess arrears, revenue and land acquisition related issues including employment and marriage related disputes.

E-challan notices have been sent to 11 lakh vehicles for unpaid challans. After receiving the notice, the notice holders will pay the amount on the link given in the notice without waiting for the court order. No waiver will be given in the said amount of pre-litigation e-challan even in the court.
There are complaints that e-challan notices have been received even though the car has been sold recently. It is also necessary to change the mobile number by contacting the Regional Transport Office (RTO) after selling the vehicle. But ignoring it, the notice is issued on the registration number, traffic officials claimed.
In case of such complaints, download M-Parivahan app or visit the website https://mahatrafficechallan.gov.in, said traffic officials.
