Pune district reports 5 new Covid cases, lowest since March 2020

The progressive count stands at 1.45 million Covid cases out of which 1.43 million have recovered, 20,517 deaths reported and 267 are current active cases

The district reported five new Covid-19 cases and no deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest number of new Covid-19 cases reported in the district since mid-March 2020, the second week since the pandemic began.

The progressive count stands at 1.45 million out of which 1.43 million have recovered, 20,517 deaths reported and 267 are current active cases.

As per the state health department, Pune rural reported no new Covid-19 cases and the progressive count stands at 425,449 and the death toll stood at 7,183.

Pune city reported four new Covid-19 cases which took the progressive count to 680,010 and the death toll stood at 9,707.

Pimpri-Chinchwad reported one new Covid-19 case and the progressive count went up to 347,314 and the toll stood at 3,627.

As per the CoWin dashboard as of Monday in total 17.79 million doses have been registered in the district. Out of which 9.68 million are first doses, 7.81 million are second doses and 289,869 were precautionary doses. A total of 337 sites saw vaccination out of which 260 were government centres and 77 were private.
