Woman killed after being run over by truck in Junnar

A 28-year-old woman lost her life in a road accident at Monika Chowk in Otur village of Junnar taluka on Friday morning.
According to police, the incident occurred when a truck collided with a scooter on the Ahilyanagar–Kalyan highway. The victim reportedly fell onto the road after the two-wheeler skidded while trying to avoid potholes, following which she was run over by the truck.
The woman sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents, but doctors declared her dead on arrival, officials said.
The accident has triggered concern among locals, who have blamed poor road conditions and potholes for the mishap. Police have registered a case, and further investigation is underway.
