Don’t stop yourself from being the best version of yourself
We set our biggest limitations when we start caring too much about what other people will think of us.
We set our biggest limitations when we start caring too much about what other people will think of us.

Every dream, aspiration, ambition and goal is crushed under the weight of ‘what will people say’. Do we ever listen to our heart, our inner voice before we decide what we really want?
Social pressures hang threateningly like the Sword of Damocles over every man. Even the path to righteousness is challenged by this question. It is important to sometimes listen to your heart and do what makes you feel happy and worthwhile.
Don’t live your life pleasing others. In doing so, you are letting them set limitations for you. The ‘yes’ man becomes a puppet in the hands of his colleagues, superiors and those who surround him and over time tends to lose not only his identity but also his respect. Being assertive is imperative in building your self-worth. One must possess the sense of right or wrong, as it is you who have to face the consequences for your actions.
The inner battle of weighing the pros and cons of every action enslaves a person and keeps him shackled by others’ opinions.
Why always look for approval from society and peers? It is time we liberate ourselves from these shackles and do what we feel is right. This will help you change the aura of energy that surrounds you. You will earn the respect and love of others once you start following a long cherished dream and tread the paths that will make your life worth it.
In Tony Robbins’ words, “It’s your decisions and not your conditions that truly shape the quality of your life.” Stand up for yourself and your decisions. It is you who are the master of your destiny, so go ahead and be the best version of yourself.
