Turn the gift of life into a rainbow for other people

We are thrilled even if we get the smallest of gift of any kind. There is nothing wrong in it as it is human nature.

Some of these gifts may come as appreciation of a job well done. The beauty of such gifts is that they egg you on to do better things. Ultimately you are inspired to doing things for the welfare of humanity.

But do we ever remind ourselves that the greatest gift we have received is the gift of life?

There is nothing that can outvalue the gift of life as it enables us to receive many other precious gifts, if we manage our lives in an appropriate and righteous fashion.

Our life is like a mine of gold as it gives us unlimited means and chances to walk through it in a manner that pleases and benefits all.

Since we can’t be sure about an afterlife, let us follow the words of US inventor George Washington Carver who said this on one’s role as a human being: “Be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, tolerant of the weak, because someday in your life you will be all of this”.

Never forget to be conscious and grateful for the fact that you are blessed with a beautiful life because, as we say quite often, even if we were the richest in the world, we wouldn’t be able to buy the gift of life.

So, since we are lucky to be living on this earth, we must not squander our time in frivolity.

It is our duty to give ourselves a chance to live a meaningful life and also help others to do the same. This can be done best with a compassionate heart that can love and respect all.

The point is that the gift of life, as writer Maya Angelou says, has to be turned into a rainbow for someone else’s cloudy life.
