Jalna Lok Sabha constituency, one of the 48 in Maharashtra is a Bharatiya Janata Party stronghold

The BJP has held the seat uninterrupted since 1996 Lok Sabha polls.

Once considered a Congress bastion, theseat was won by the BJP’s

Danve Raosaheb Dadarao, who defeated Congress’s Autade Vilas Keshavrao by over two lakh votes.
