Openers Suved Parkar and Divyaansh Saxena cracked centuries each after Mumbai skittled out Nagaland for 85 on the opening day of their Under-25 CK Nayudu Trophy match at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Opting to field after winning the toss, Mumbai required just 26.4 overs to bowl out the opposition which had just four batters reaching double figures. Himanshu Singh (4/22) and Khizar Dafedar (3/31) were the most successful bowlers for Mumbai.

The Mumbai openers then piled on the misery for Nagaland as both Parkar (100, 149b, 12x4) and Saxena (100, 137b, 11x4) notching up enterprising tons before retiring hurt. At stumps, Mumbai were 247 for one after having lost Bhupen Lalwani on 20.

Young Comrade Shield: Victory CC enter final

Victory CC booked their spot in the final of the Young Comrade Shield after beating Parkophene Cricketers by 14 runs on the second day of their semi-final at MIG ground, Bandra.

Resuming at their overnight score of 301 for six after Jai Bista's century, Victory CC reached 335 for nine in 70 overs before bundling out Parkophene Cricketers for 321. Vijay Gohil picked up 3/75 while Aditya Rajhans added two more wickets. Victory CC will take on New Hind SA in the final.

Yuva President’s League: Mumbai City FC win 5-1

Mumbai City FC breezed past Soccer Schools of Excellence 5-1 in a boys’ under-15 Division I match of the Yuva President’s League organised by the Mumbai Football Association and played at the Neville D’Souza ground.

Ramanath Payyade Memorial: Shriyan nets five

Sahil Shriyan struck five goals as Mogaveera Sports Club outplayed Krishna Sports Club 10-0 in a league match of the 25th Shri Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football Tournament played at the Karnatak Sporting Association ground.
