India were off to as good a start as they could have hoped for in the Women's World Cup as they handed traditional arch-rivals Pakistan a 107-run thrashing on Sunday in Mount Maunganui. Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana's extraordinary seventh wicket stand for 122 runs off just 97 balls coupled with Rajeshwari Gayakwad's four-wicket haul helped India to their 11th consecutive win over Pakistan in World Cup matches.

India scored 244/7 thanks to Vastrakar and Rana's partnership after which Pakistan hardly got going in their chase. They were eventually all out for just 137 runs.
India next face hosts New Zealand in Hamilton on Thursday. They have now recorded 11 wins out of as many matches against Pakistan in the Women's World Cup.
