IND vs SL: Sachin Tendulkar in awe of Jadeja's Midas Touch in Mohali Test, reserves highest praise for all-rounder
Jadeja scored a record-scripting and unbeaten 175 on Day 2 of the series opener that helped India post 574 for eight before they declared their innings
Former India cricketer and a legend of the game, Sachin Tendulkar, reserved the ultimate praise for India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja following his magnificent feat in the ongoing first Test against Sri Lanka at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

Jadeja scored a record-scripting and unbeaten 175 on Day 2 of the series opener that helped India post 574 for eight before they declared their innings. On the third morning, Jadeja registered a bowling figure of 5 for 41, his 10th five wicket haul in the format and first in five years. With the elusive Test double, Jadeja became the first Indian in 60 years and first cricketer in 49 years to achieve the feat. Overall, he is the sixth player and third Indian to the unique double.

Jadeja's elusive double has been seen a perfect tribute to Australian cricket legend Shane Warne, who played a key role in the early days of his career.
“When I first met him in 2008, he was already a legend and I couldn’t believe that I would be playing alongside a player of Shane Warne’s stature," said Jadeja.
"We were just coming out of our U-19s and to share the dressing room with Warne was a huge thing for youngsters like us. He gave me a huge platform and post U-19, it was a direct entry into the IPL,” he added.
Jadeja's five-wicket haul helped India fold Sri Lanka for just 174 before they enforced a follow-on.
Jadeja had dismissed Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne on day 2, in his very second delivery in the innings before running through the lower order dismissing - Niroshan Dickwella, Suranga Lakmal, Vishwa Fernando and Lahiru Kumara.
Sri Lanka lost their opener Lahiru Thirimanne in the third over of their second innings as Ashwin dismissed him for the second time in the match and seventh overall, reducing Sri Lanka to 10 for 1 at Lunch. This was Ashwin's 433rd wicket which saw him enter the top-10 list for the most wickets in Tests, equalling Sri Lankan great Rangana Herath.
