South Africa beat India by 7 wickets to claim the ODI series. Earlier, Team India started off well with captain KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan stitching a 63-run opening stand before the spinners struck in quick time to remove the latter and Virat Kohli for a duck. India then revived on the back of a century stand between Pant and Rahul before three successive wickets dented the visitors. Team India have taken the field to stay alive in the three-match ODI series when the side faces South Africa in the second game in Paarl. The KL Rahul-led side suffered a 31-run defeat in the opening match.
