IPL 2019 Final, MI vs CSK: Michael Vaughan predicts winner of blockbuster clash

Mumbai remain the clear favourites to win an unprecedented fourth title as they have already beaten Chennai three times this term.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has named his winner for the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) ahead of the blockbuster final between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Mumbai remain the clear favourites to win an unprecedented fourth title as they have already beaten Chennai three times this term — twice in league stage and once in Qualifier 1. So, form and head to head record suggest that MI will get the better of CSK at the home of 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad.

However, former England skipper Vaughan still believes that CSK will come out victorious and successfully defend their crown. Vaughan also made a passing reference in his Tweet that Manchester City fans are looking nervous ahead of their final English Premier League football match, where a win would land them their second successive title as well.

Vaughan’s social media post read: “Rattler time to London ... #IPL Final ... @ChennaiIPL to win me thinks ... Plenty of City Fans at the station looking nervous !!!!!!! Morning all .......”

This will be the fourth IPL between MI and CSK and both of them have a chance of winning the IPL for a record fourth time. The pitch at Hyderabad, which suits the fast bowler more than the spinners, may force both the sides to get out of their comfort zones.
