IPL 2024 MI vs CSK Highlights: Mumbai Indians seem to have hit red-hot form and are chasing their third consecutive victory while Chennai Super Kings are looking to turn around their poor form this season in matches played away from home.

IPL 2024 MI vs CSK Highlights: An extraordinary late charge from MS Dhoni backed up well-worked half-centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube as Chennai Super Kings scored 206/4 in 20 overs batting first against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. MI got off to a sensational start in the chase with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan putting up an opening partnership of 70 runs off 43 balls. Matheesha Pathirana then ended the stand with Kishan's wicket and then dismissed Suryakumar Yadav for a duck in the eighth over. ...Read More
MI were then given a boost thanks to a 60-run stand between Rohit and Tilak Varma which had got them back on track. It was Pathirana who got the breakthrough again, dismissing the latter in the 14th over and CSK were back on top. Mumbai never recovered from that, Pathirana finished his four-wicket haul by dismissing Romario Shepherd in the 18th over. Rohit ended up scoring a century, finishing unbeaten on 105 off 63 balls but MI lost by 20 runs.
Earlier, MI seemed to have pulled things back enough to restrict CSK to a score below 200 when Hardik Pandya dismissed Daryl Mitchell off the second ball of the last over. However, Dhoni then walked out and smashed the first three balls he faced for sixes. He then ran two off the last ball to finish with a ridiculous score of 20 in four balls, a strike rate of 500. Dube was at the other end, having powered much of the CSK innings and he finished unbeaten on 66 off 38 balls.
Pandya had ended the carnage that his opposite number Ruturaj Gaikwad and Dube had unleashed by dismissing the former in the 16th over. Gaikwad had smashed 69 in 40 balls as part of a third-wicket stand with Dube that put Chennai Super Kings on top. The stand was worth 90 runs in 45 balls and Dube scored his half-century in just 28 deliveries.
