KL Rahul tied the knot with actor Athiya Shetty and the newly married couple shared photos of them ceremony on their social media handles.

India star KL Rahul tied the knot on Monday with actor Athiya Shetty at her father and fellow Bollywood star Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala, Maharashtra. The newly married couple also shared photos from the ceremony on their respective social media handles, sparking reactions from accross fields.
The duo got married in presence of close family members and friends. “In your light, I learn how to love…” Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness,” they wrote on their respective social media handles.
The bride looked resplendent in a pink lehenga, while the groom looked dapper in a beige sherwani. The newly weds also posed for the photographers waiting outside the wedding venue post the ceremony.

Rahul, 30, is currently serving as the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team in Test cricket. He also captains the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League. The couple is likely to host a grand reception in Mumbai for their friends and colleagues before the IPL. Athiya made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Nikkhil Advani-directed “Hero”, a remake of co-producer Subhash Ghai's 1983 classic of the same name.
Rahul is sitting out India's ongoing series against New Zealand for the wedding. India have confirmed victory in the series after winning the first two matches with Ishan Kishan playing in the No.5 position that Rahul has left vacant. Kishan has also donned the wicketkeeping gloves, with Rahul being India's preferred wicketkeeper in the absence of Rishabh Pant.
