QUE vs RAP Commentary

5:32 PM IST Goodbye! That wraps up our coverage of this one-sided encounter, but the PSL action rolls on with an exciting double-header this Saturday, April 11th! Be sure to join us early for all the pre-match build-up as Peshawar Zalmi takes on the Lahore Qalandars at 9.30 am GMT, followed by a blockbuster clash between the Karachi Kings and the Hyderabad Kingsmen at 2 pm GMT. Until then, thank you for tuning in, and goodbye!
5:32 PM IST Rilee Rossouw is the Player of the Match for his half-century.
5:23 PM IST A nightmare start to the chase - Needing a strong start to chase down the big total, Rawalpindiz stumbled right out of the gate. Their chase began disastrously when star opener Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed on the very first ball by Jahandad Khan. The situation worsened rapidly as Usman Khawaja fell to a sloppy run-out and Yasir Khan gave his wicket away trying to force the pace. By the end of the powerplay, Rawalpindiz was in deep trouble, struggling at 46 for 3 and carrying the weight of massive scoreboard pressure.
5:23 PM IST Spinners seal the deal - Daryl Mitchell and Abdullah Fazal attempted to steady the ship with a brief 32-run stand, but the Gladiators' spinners soon strangled the scoring and triggered a spectacular batting collapse. Rawalpindiz crumbled under the pressure, losing four quick wickets and crashing from 77 for 3 down to a helpless 82 for 7. Ultimately, Quetta’s complete dominance across all departments secured them a massive 61-run victory, handing Rawalpindiz their fifth consecutive defeat of the tournament.
5:21 PM IST Gladiators started slow but finished well - A convincing win for the Quetta Gladiators. After being put in to bat, the Quetta Gladiators lost an early wicket but quickly rebuilt through a solid 87-run partnership between Saud Shakeel and Rilee Rossouw. Just as the scoring rate began to drag, Hasan Nawaz came to the crease and completely shifted the momentum, blasting a quickfire 39 off just 16 deliveries. Despite losing wickets at the other end, his aggression, combined with a thrilling late cameo from Jahandad Khan, powered the Gladiators to a commanding 182/6.
