PCB postpones governing body meeting till March 22

Shoaib is facing strong action from the disciplinary committee as he accused the board of having double standards and a dual policy while giving out central contracts.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has postponed its governing body meeting till March 22, delaying a decision on charges of indiscipline against fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar and leg-spinner Danish Kaneria.

A PCB official said that the governing body meeting had been postponed from March 8 to the March 22 as the disciplinary committee of the board will be able to hear the charges against the two players by the second week of this month.

"The Chairman of the disciplinary committee is abroad and will return home next week. The governing body will only meet after the disciplinary committee gives its recommendations on the two players," he said.

Shoaib and Danish have been charged for giving statements against the board's policies to give central contracts.

The express bowler also slammed the board for organising 'B' grade domestic matches.
